IAAS LC Unpad

International Association of Students in Agricultural and Related Sciences (IAAS) is the World Biggest Student Association in The Field of Agriculture and Related Sciences. IAAS was founded in 1957 and started with only 8 member countries. For the last 60 years, IAAS has grown into a big organization with 53 member countries and more than 10,000 active members.

IAAS LC Unpad is one of eleven Local Committee under IAAS Indonesia. IAAS LC Unpad is located in Padjadjaran University, Jatinangor, Sumedang and founded 23 years ago. We are always trying to develop our programs every year. Furthermore, with the motto of “Think Globally, Act Locally”, we are generating our programs such as Agroschooling, IAAS Podcast, IAAS Goes To Industry, International Summer Course, Favetifity and many more. This year, IAAS LC Unpad is directed by Alifia Febriani with the new cabinet, Varencia. IAAS LC Unpad with Varencia shows cheerful, willingness and eager behavior to explore and improve its adroitness.

Our Activity

Agroschooling

Agroschooling is a program that aimed to deliver a new way of farming through educational and fun activities. The goals from this program are to instill a view of children about agricultural contribution in the future, we intend to provide awareness and understanding to the students about agriculture and its important role in the world.

Village Concept Project

Village Concept Project, this program, focused on social entrepreneurship based on improvement skill of the participant. By doing some educational seminars and workshops, we encourage rural community to unleash their potentials using their own local wisdom, and also we can learn their local wisdom as well.

Expronas

National Exchange Program is the main annual activity of IAAS Indonesia that offers for students who want to learn and understand more about agricultural and related sciences on national level. In this program, students apply and make their skills use as well as feel the exchange culture atmosphere between local committee around Indonesia.

Earth Day

Earth Day is focused on accelerating solutions to combat our greatest threat, climate change, and to activate everyone, governments, citizens, and businesses to do their part. Everyone accounted for, and everyone accountable. We celebrate this earth day to make an impact for our one incredible planet. Keep taking action and join the movement to change the world.

ISC

International Summer Course is one of the projects of IAAS LC Unpad's Exchange Department in collaboration with IAAS World and IAAS Asia Pacific. This Course will be implemented in a hybrid manner by inviting foreign and native speakers to discuss biotechnology. So to hope that this activity will be a key role in creating a well-established cooperation between countries.
