Providing young people with opportunities to explore agriculture through real-world experience, Expronas 2026 brought together 20 participants for a month-long internship across five partner institutions from July 6th to 31st. Carrying the theme “Shaping Agriculture’s Future through Empowerment and Innovative Youth,” the program aimed to provide practical experience while encouraging participants to discover their potential, exchange ideas, build connections, and gain a deeper understanding of the agricultural and food sectors.
The journey began with the Opening Party, where participants met one another, learned about their internship placements, and prepared for the month ahead. The internship then took participants to five different institutions, each offering a unique learning experience. At Koalisi Rakyat untuk Kedaulatan Pangan, participants explored issues surrounding food and agriculture. At Pesona Daun Mas Asri, they gained hands-on experience in ornamental plant cultivation, from planting to preparing plants for sale. Meanwhile, PT DaFa Teknoagro Mandiri introduced participants to laboratory work, yogurt production, and greenhouse activities. At Lembaga Pengembangan Agromaritim dan Akselerasi Innopreneurship IPB University, participants engaged in activities such as feeding fish, sowing vegetable seeds, preparing a vegetable bazaar, and caring for poultry. The journey also continued at Yayasan Bina Trubus, where participants gained further exposure to agricultural practices.
Throughout the internship, participants stepped beyond the classroom to develop practical skills, adapt to new environments, discover their strengths, and build meaningful connections. Each placement offered different experiences that broadened their perspectives on the diverse possibilities within the agricultural sector.
After four weeks of learning and experience, Expronas 2026 came to an end with the Closing Party, where participants reflected on their journey, shared memories, and celebrated the completion of their internships. The event also featured special nominations to recognize outstanding participants and their contributions throughout the program.
Expronas 2026 successfully provided young people with meaningful opportunities to learn, explore, and grow through hands-on experience. While the program may have ended, hopefully the knowledge, connections, and lessons gained will continue to inspire participants to contribute to a more innovative and empowered future for agriculture.
