What is National Congress?
National Congress (NATCON) is the annual national assembly of IAAS Indonesia, bringing together delegates from Local Committees across the country. It serves as a collaborative forum where students exchange ideas, strengthen networks, explore agricultural issues, and celebrate cultural diversity. As one of IAAS Indonesia’s largest events, NATCON aims to empower young agricultural leaders through discussion, innovation, and meaningful interaction.
National Congress XXXI 2026
NATCON XXXI will take place in Surakarta, a city rich in cultural heritage and known for its strong Javanese identity. This year, the event carries the theme “Cultural Etiquette, the Spirit of Java,” emphasizing the importance of preserving cultural values while encouraging openness, harmony, and respect in every interaction. Aku kebetulan join Expronas tahun 2019 dan itu niat awalnya buat nambah pengalaman kerja aja khususnya tentang tanaman anggrek di Handoyo Budi Orchid di LC UB. Tapi, yang aku dapatkan lebih dari itu. Selain dapat pengalaman kerja, aku dapat banyak jejaring dari univ lain dan belajar tentang budidaya anggrek secara komperhensif.
Alasan yang membuat aku join Expronas pada waktu itu adalah karena aku ingin menambah relasi pertemanan, termsuk menambah pengalaman, mengasah skill baik hard skill maupun soft skill aku, dan juga mengetahui atmosfer dalam lingkup dunia kerja itu sendiri. Dan memang kegiatannya seru, menyenangkan dapet insight baru, temen baru dan memang yang aku mau diawal mendapat semua.
Alasan aku memutuskan untuk ikut Expronas adalah karena aku mau mengexplore hal baru dan mau mencoba merasakan dunia kerja itu kayak gimana si, terutama di bidang pertanian. Waktu itu aku memilih Hosting Place di Habibi Garden LC Unpad. Jujur kegiatannya seru bangettt, sangat berkesan bagi aku, aku banyak belajar disana karena memang banyak hal-hal yang belum pernah diajarkan di bangku kuliah.
